I’m always coming up with new cover ideas for Dakota… just in case. I enjoy playing with the narrative:iconic relationship. I love playing with the gestures and attitude and natural vs. posed. I can do it all day long. For days. Here’s the latest batch of randoms:

Dakota Rawhide: A Cover Girl

At long last the cover for Dakota Rawhide Book II is just about finished. By tomorrow night, the finishing will be complete. If that makes any sense. The text is not decided on as yet and some minor tweaks to Dakota are in order, but hopefully nothing to hectic. I changed the format of the book from landscape to portrait. It will be standard graphic novel dimensions. I don’t know about y’all, but I can’t wait to see the final presentation. It’s nice to be excited about my own projects. It makes it easier to work on them every single waking hour… somewhat easier. I kid. It’s been a grueling blast the whole way. I’ve learned a lot, as usual, as one should on any project to which they commit themselves. I’ve had a lot of fun planning out the book, writing the story, projecting ahead to the future stories, as well as a couple flashback stories in the works. I’ll detail some of that out in the near future.

Sol’s (Dakota Character Lineup WIP)

Aaaaaand, we’re back!!
What are we back with on this fine Tuesday morning? Some art work. Well, a work-in-progress anyway. What we in the Arts & Internets world commonly refer to as a WIP!
It’s a character lineup for DAKOTA RAWHIDE, a couple of which we have not yet encountered! From left to right: Seth Sandoval, Ace D’Argento, Dakota Tayler, Dorian Graives, Jesse Graives.
As was mentioned, it is a WIP, so the characters are highly unfinished, the environment still demands a lot of love, and the composition is a bit spotty in terms of value grouping, but I promise! this will all be resolved by the time I call it finished. So stay tuned!
