		<description>That, of course, was the challenge with Dakota, but once I discovered a few, previously-unknown, facets to her personality, she clicked into place much easier. Now I find her very easy to write. It&#039;s a couple of the new characters that are now posing problems for me. *Sigh. It&#039;s all part of the process I suppose.</description>

		<description>What is even more interesting than just differing speech patterns is throwing in differing genders to the mix. Perhaps taking someone who is of one gender but has never fallen into the norms of that gender. I am thinking Kaylee from Firefly. Finding a voice for someone when you have never lived in their shoes is amazingly challenging, but very rewarding when you finally get it just right and realize who they are. Then they practically write themselves.</description>
